What is SWICDA?

Solihull Workforce in Care Development Association (SWICDA) is a small, independent organisation under the Industrial and Provident Society covering Solihull in the West Midlands.


We were formed in 2008 and became an independent employer and member led company in 2010. We welcome employers of all sizes.


Who are members of SWICDA?

They are Care Provider organisations in Solihull who provide or support service users together with carers and Individual Budget holder employers of personal assistants.


Our offer to members

We promote dignity, respect, choice and control.

We enable you to qualify, further develop, motivate and support employees to offer person centred care and high quality services.

We develop and support quality initiatives by bidding for funding and implementing innovative projects.


We commission training customised to meet the needs of social care employers of all sizes.


We work in partnership to identify and enable the changes envisaged in the Care Act 2014.


We listen and hear about current issues in social care and work to enable the voice of individual, micro, small and medium sized employers to be heard.


We promote good leadership and management and the meeting of occupational standards through conferences and workshops.
